Get the latest information about new preview builds of Windows 11 as they roll out to Windows Insiders. Now updated for Insider Preview Build 22000.651 for the Release Preview channel released April 14, 2022.

Windows 11 has been released, but behind the scenes, Microsoft is constantly working to improve the latest version of Windows. The company frequently releases public preview builds to members of its Windows Insider Program, allowing them to test and even help shape future features.

The Windows Insider Program is divided into three channels:

The development channel is where new features are submitted for initial testing, regardless of which version of Windows they end up in. This channel is best suited for technical users and developers, and builds can be unstable and contain bugs.
In the beta channel, you’ll get more advanced features that will be rolled out in the next major release of Windows. This channel is best for early adopters, and Microsoft says your feedback on this channel will have the most impact.
The Release Preview channel usually doesn’t activate until a new feature update is released. It is intended for final testing of an upcoming release and is best for those who want the most stable builds.
The Beta and Release Preview channels also receive bug fix builds for the currently shipping version of Windows 11.

Not everyone can participate in the Windows 11 Insider Program because the new operating system has more stringent system requirements than Windows 10. As outlined in this Microsoft blog post, if your PC doesn’t meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11, you can’t Join the Windows 11 Insider Program.
